Dust 03:28
I finally saw the dust that I let settle, realized all the time I should have spent. She left her bitter heart wrapped round the back door of the house, in a letter that said: I'm not leaving you forever, I'm only leaving for a month. So call me when you're sober and I'll call you on your bluff. All you ever talk about is changing people's minds, I wish that you would try and change mine. There's a whole big world I never knew about. Canyon walls and city lights for me to hide my doubts. I packed the van and left with your words burning through my mind, over every state line. I'm not leaving you forever, I'm only leaving for a month. So call me when you're sober and I'll call you on your bluff. All you ever talk about is changing people's minds, I wish that you would try and change mine. It's been three years since I heard from you last. You got lost in New York City with no plans of getting back. Said you don't miss fighting and the uncertainty that came with loving me.

She told me to fill up my brain with anything until something sticks. Cause she's grown tired of chasing me and cleaning up all of my mess. I told her I'm preoccupied with where to go after the fear subsides. Like her mother she loves flowers, and drinking herself back to sleep. She memorized the train stops that get her home, so consciousness don't get in the way. She told me she's preoccupied with where to go after the fear subsides. She told me she's preoccupied with where to go after the fear subsides. We were specters who looked for a savior about every place that we've been. We slept in the graveyard and out in the garden, thinking that god must have a plan. Maybe he's preoccupied with where to go after the fears subsides. Maybe he's preoccupied with where to go after the fears subsides. We're both too scared to go, so I guess we'll just keep trying until something sticks. We're both too scared to go, so I guess we'll just keep trying until something sticks.

On Our Way 03:19
It takes a harlequin before my conscious steps in, says there's better things for you than all this noise. Parasitic thoughts and broken, hollow hearts are wasted on the days we'll never get back. We drank most every night living in paradise, it's not so bad once we got past the shitty weather. As days turned into months, then it's gone all at once, I guess we should have listened to our parents. They were almost always right as it turns out, as sympathetic whispers are ringing out: "We're on our way."

Do you really have somewhere to be in the morning? Maybe someone who makes you feel clean, or feel anything. Well I've done my fair share of losing, and now it don't hurt like it used to. Do you really have somewhere to be in the morning? Is there someone that you want to see in the morning? Maybe someone that don't look like me or ask questions. I've been awoken before, by shadows that slip out the door. Is there someone that you want to see in the morning? You'll be taking my heart when you leave in the morning. And you'll keep it til next time we meet, I'm promising. Said you'd be gone for a month, but after three years I gave up. You'll be taking my heart when you leave in the morning.

I'm sorry I won't keep in touch. Cause I know how you are, and I know how I am. I'm sorry I won't return your calls. I've been gone for so long, but you've always been so bad at forgetting. I'm sorry the weather doesn't change. At least something stayed, that's more than I can say. I'm sorry that you hate what you do everyday. I hope that can change, I hope we both can change. I'm sorry for the demons left behind, and if they share my face, then please turn away. I'm sorry for the house and the blood both run cold. Take refuge in spring, that place far from me.
